Bikes I've owned

My first bike, 1989 Honda Spacey. I bought this scooter in 2001.

The spacey was a great first bike, however it did get blown around an awful lot on the Gladesville bridge. I decided I needed something bigger. I bought a Yamaha Majesty, 400cc

The Majesty became my primary form of transport unless I had the kids with me. Then I saw what I thought was the ultimate scooter, power, looks, luggage space......

The Yamaha Tmax 500c, goes like a rocket, heaps of luggage space.

I still have the Tmax although it doesn't get ridden much these days. These was the bike I took on my first serious motorcycle tour with Clubman Tourers. It did bitumen, gravel sum mud and managed it all, however it did loose a few panel pins over the gravel.

My first motorcycle was purchased in 2006, a Honda Transalp 2005. It was a great first motorcycle, capable of both on and off-road touring, but just a tad too tall for me.

After the Transalp I wanted a sports bike, I kept the Transalp and bought a Triumph Sprint 955i RS. That bike was a real blast.

The Transalp was getting old, it had done 90,000klms and it was time to upgrade. I'd been lusting after the new BMW f 650 GS, my partner bought it for me as a replacement for the Transalp. It was such a good alround bike that we traded the Sprint in on a new Ducati for him.

The GS was a brilliant bike, however it and me were taken out by a kangaroo one morning. Insurance covered me for a replacement bike and I loved the bike so much it was replaced with the 2010 model and my current bike, aka Quiver.
