Day 6 - Rest day in Mackay

I'm such a party animal. Went to bed last night at 7:30 and slept until 5:30 this morning. Did my washing and dumped half my gear, Leanne is going to mail it home for me. I also bought a new sleeping bag today as my summer weight bag is just not warm enough. Hopefully I'll sleep a bit better tomorrow night in my new snuggly bag.

There is lots of birdlife at Leanne and Scotts. These little ducks fly in each morning for breakfast.

And then in the afternoon, we have the classic piece of Australiana, Hills hoist complete with Kookaburras.

We had lunch at a cliff top pub in Eimieo, this is the road that leads up to the pub.

And this is the view from the beer garden, unfortunately the food didn't live up to the vista.

All was not lost as the company was excellent.

Organised an oil and air filter for the bike to be shipped up to Darwin and the mechanic is trying to organise my tyres for me. Hopefully all will be there next week.
